Iris unguicularis forms vigorous clumps of grass-like evergreen leaves, and throws up fragrant, pale lavender to deep violet flowers with a band of yellow on the falls in winter. Flowering in January to March, it grows to a height of 30cm, with a spread of 30cm. Plant this fully hardy plant in full sun.
