Philadelphus lemoinei Belle Etoile is a splendid arching shrub with clusters of very fragrant, single cup-shaped, white flowers, which have a purple-flushed centre.

It flowers through May to June, growing to a height of 1.2m and a spread of 2m. It is good in full sun or partial shade, and is hardy.

Its beautiful flowers are large, double, and cup-shaped, with numerous white petals arranged in a rosette-like formation around a yellow center. The flowers are also incredibly fragrant, with a sweet, citrus-like scent that is reminiscent of orange blossoms, hence the common name “Mock Orange.” The scent of these flowers can fill a garden, making it an excellent choice for creating a sensory experience in Garden.
